    MICHAEL W. DAVIS, President, Senior Case Manager and Devoted Father
 

Michael Davis was a Certified Brain Injury Specialist and an independent Case Manager specializing in traumatic brain and spinal injury cases.  Since 1985 Mr. Davis had been a consultant to attorneys, insurance companies, families, survivors and service providers lending his expertise in the areas of case reviews, rehabilitation needs assessment, educational/vocational planning, access to resources and life care plan implementation. He was actively involved in public education, program development and advocacy throughout his many years of service in the field of rehabilitation.

 

Mr. Davis was the President, Co-Founder and past Executive Director of the Brain Injury Association of West Virginia (formerly the West Virginia Head Injury Foundation).  He served on the Board of Directors of the Brain Injury Association of West Virginia and was former Chairperson of the Ethics and Standards Committee of the Brain Injury Association (formerly the National Head Injury Foundation). Over the years Mr. Davis served on the Advisory Boards of several rehabilitation facilities as well as other health related organizations including the WV TBI/SCI Rehabilitation Fund Board.

 

Mr. Davis was instrumental in promoting quality assurance criteria in areas including programming and ethical marketing practices while emphasizing the rights of survivors and families. Through his professional career and personal experience, Mr. Davis earned respect for his expertise on the educational and psychosocial problems inherent to survivors of traumatic injuries and their families.  In 1988 Mr. Davis received the 'Distinguished West Virginian Award’ for his dedication to the rights of people with disabilities and his legislative advocacy for the West Virginia Safety Belt Law and the Americans With Disabilities Act.

 

Mr. Davis was a distinguished Vietnam Veteran who studied Business Administration, Public Relations and Marketing at West Virginia State College.  He continued to further his experience and expertise in the field of Rehabilitation and Case Management through his attendance at national and local conferences and his presentation of numerous professional in-services.
